Cotton Growers Services Pty Ltd (CGS) was established at Wee Waa during 1979, with the aim of improving insecticide product stewardship within the Australian cotton industry.
Mergers & acquisitions of existing shareholders over the past 30 years have resulted in the current-day joint ownership profile of CGS byBayer CropScience & Syngenta.
This is an industry unique position within the Australian agri-retail market, offering CGS the benefit of being backed by 2 market leading, globally based agribusinesses, who are demonstrably committed to the long term success of both CGS & the wider Australian cotton industry.
CGS is equipped with over 60 employees, with almost 50 being based in branch offices as management, logistics, & agronomic sales staff. Many CGS members have in excess of 20 years service to the company. CGS embraces the opportunity to be part of the local communities that we operate & indeed live in. This is achieved through staff members’ active participation within community initiatives, through sponsorship or financial support of sporting & cultural events; and through a long term commitment to providing agri-retail services to these small communities, often in spite of incredibly harsh climatic conditions such as drought & floods.
CGS has 10 branches within every major Australian cotton growing region; Emerald, St George, Dalby & Goondiwindi in QLD; Moree, Narrabri, Gunnedah, Warren & Hillston, with the 10 branch & head office based at Wee Waa in NSW.
CGS is a cotton, irrigated row crop & dryland broadacre specialist supplier; distributing a large range of precision equipment, services & solutions, as well as premium brand crop protection & production products. Drawing on a time honoured tradition of exceptional customer service & expertise in supply chain distribution across all eastern Australian cotton growing areas, CGS delivers your products on farm, where you need it, when you need it.
